What draws you to the romance genre as a writer? I write romance because it makes me feel good and puts a smile on my face. There isn’t another genre in fiction that does that so effortlessly. Plus, to write romance, I don’t need to research much. It’s a genre that is relatively easier to work on and I can finish writing a book in a shorter span. Do you see a part of yourself in your characters? With time and after writing for years, I have learned to take a back seat and let the characters develop on their own. I don’t interfere with their growth, preach or pass judgements. However, I must confess that I do bleed into the narration. What is your work schedule like when you are writing? I write for hours in the morning and at night. I write every day. Writing isn’t my hobby but a doorway to life. How do you handle literary criticism? I take constructive feedback seriously. And I work on it religiously to improve my craft. Every. Single. Day. What other genres do you want to write in besides romance? I’ve written thrillers and published them independently on Amazon.
